(Montclair, CA - May 2 2010)– All three cars suffered multiple spin outs and cut tires. The completion has turned up the heat and raised the level of aggression in an attempt to knock series leader Tim Pyle for the number one spot.
Tim in the #5 Camaro saved the car twice from t-boning the wall after being spun out. He battled and managed a fourth place finish after being shuffled to the back twice and a cut left tire. “The car came home in one piece, that’s the important part. It’s a long series and we’ll race how we are raced. We’ll be taking the gloves off if we have to and answering back”, said Pyle.
The 50 car driven by Steve Fangmeyer won his heat race but, had a similar story in the main event. He was spun early on and suffered a flat which put him in the pits for a tire change. Steve got up on the wheel and drove back to finish in fifth. We’d like to use a quote from Steve, but it wouldn’t be politically correct.
Mike Burks Sr. driving the 55 probably had the worst of the beating. When he was spun, the driver’s door took a hard hit, the rear axel was pushed back on the right side and he suffered a flat on the left side. He finished the race running.
Thanks to teams who support Still Movin’ Motors and BBR Motorsports. Their effort and team work to keep AMSOIL up front!
