(February 13, 2014, Montclair, CA)  Oil Twins sponsored driver Eric Brown debuted his brand new race car in smashing fashion when he swept the show  by winning both the Democross heat race and main event Trailer Figure 8 races in front of a sellout crowd at Angels Stadium, home of Major League Baseball’s California Angels of Los Angeles, at the Anaheim Monster Jam in January.

After a quick afternoon test to shakedown the newly finished 1977 Monte Carlo at his home track, Perris Auto Speedway, the Riverside, California resident and his crew made the short journey to Anaheim for what turned to be a very successful unveiling. With more than 50,000 fans looking on, Brown, with his car decked out in its usual bright green paint job and festooned with large Amsoil logos, emerged from the pit tunnel to thunderous applause.

“Coming out from the tunnel and onto the track in front of all of those fans gave me goose bumps,” the 26-year-old structural designer shared after the successful night.  “I mean, you could literally hear them over the roar of the engines.  It was very, very exciting and they kept it up all through the race and all the way to when we drove up the tunnel to leave after the checkered flag.”

Brown, who is getting married on November 8th.won that Figure 8 Trailer race and that victory & the enthusiasm of the packed house set the table for the Democross challenge.  Once again to the roar of the fans, he captured his second winner’s trophy of the night and left a bug impression on the sellout crowd.

The Anaheim race was the first of sixteen Brown has planned for 2014.  Five of the remaining events are slated for Perris Auto Speedway where they draw huge crowds.  In addition to his racing endeavors, Brown also displays his car at events in conjunction with the famous Amsoil Oil Twins Casey and Andy Jones,

“I enjoy working with Andy & Casey to promote Amsoil products and racing in Southern California,” the fifth year racer said.  “I met them when I started using quality Amsoil products in my car.  They have been very supportive of my racing efforts and we have become very good friends away from the track as well.”

2014 will be Brown’s first full season of being sponsored by the famous Amsoil Oil Twins from Montclair, California and they feel likewise about the affable racer.

“We met Eric after an event at Perris Auto Speedway in 2012,” said Andy Jones.  “My brother and I were immediately struck by his professionalism, his ability on the track and how well he interacted with all of the Perris fans.  It was great to see him take the same qualities and win on such a huge platform at Anaheim.  He is not only a great racer, but he is a great person as well.  We are proud that he represents Amsoil and the Oil Twins in such a successful and professional manner.”

Fans can hear Brown talk about his Anaheim win, Amsoil sponsorship and 2014 plans this Sunday evening on the Perris Auto Speedway portion of Dave Stall’s “San Diego Motorsports” radio show this coming Sunday night, February 16th.  The show runs from 9:00-10:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on AM 1170.  Fans from outside of the San Diego area can listen live online at: http://kcbq.com/
